Position Summary: Under the direction of the Billing Manager, the Collections Clerk will contact customers of delinquent accounts and advise of necessary actions and strategies for debt repayment. The Collections Clerk will demonstrate a courteous and professional demeanor when dealing with customers while remaining confident and assertive.


  • Contacting customers via phone, mail, or email
  • Collection of accounts
  • Other Billing Department duties as needed (ie., running statements, review of bills, answering billing and processing calls)
  • Reconciliation of Payment
  • Prep work before statements are run
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results
  • Contributes to maintain a safe and clean department by complying with procedures, rules and regulations
  • Perform other duties as requested

Required Skills:

  • Data entry skills
  • Computer, email, fax and scan knowledge
  • Reconciliation and Processing of payments
  • Basic mathematical skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Possess office skills, such as answering phones and filing
  • Ability to type a minimum of 40/wpm

  • One to two years of experience in a related field; or one to two years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Collections background preferred but not required


  • High School Diploma/GED Equivalent

Physical Job Requirements:

  • Sitting for up to 8 hours/day
  • Having a range of motion from kneeling, to bending over to raising arms above head to retrieve stock
  • Lifting and/or carrying up to 40 pounds
  • Reading fine and/or small print
  • Working off a computer screen for up to 8 hours a day

Work Status:

  • Full-time
  • Monday-Friday 9:00AM-6:00PM
  • Saturday Rotation 9:00AM-5:00PM
