This time of year tends to remind us of those we care for. It’s a time to give, to share and be thankful for those around us. We sometimes forget this during the hustle and bustle of our busy lives, but Guardian Pharmacy of Wisconsin wanted to give back to help support our community.
This year, we created a mitten tree instead of a traditional Christmas tree. Anyone that wanted to bring in a pair of mittens or a hat or scarf could place it on our Christmas tree, and it will be donated to a charity. We received quite a few donations from our Madison staff – see picture of a tree below.
Our donations were given to East Madison Community Center (EMCC), an organization that provides different resources for lower income families, including a food bank, clothing, a mini library, after school care and much more. They devote their time to assist the community with various needs like education, food, employment and socialization. The multi-service center also provides social, educational, recreational and cultural programming. If interested in learning more, the organization’s website is eastmadisoncc.org.
Thank you to all our employees who brought in donations to give those served at EMCC a happy holiday. We care for our clients every day at Guardian Pharmacy of Wisconsin and would like to wish you all a very happy holiday season!
